Claims Handler
Nottingham City Centre
£15,000-£17,000 pa Monday-Friday 9am-5pm + 25 day holiday + statutory
Overall objective
To agree the settlement of claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions and within your own authority levels, to ensure such settlements are achieved in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Maintaining agreed service levels within the Technical Claims Department and also adhering to all Regulatory Requirements.
Treating our customers fairly, offering them first class advice and service, whilst ensuring that claims leakage is kept to a minimum.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To assess all new claim notifications
- To update the in-house claims data systems
- Proactively handle existing claims to conclusion
- Appoint third party agencies as appropriate e.g. Loss Adjusters, Doctors etc
- To ensure all payments are accurate and in accordance with policy terms and conditions
- To ensure departmental service standards are adhered to
- Correspond with customers as necessary using standard documents wherever possible
- To provide assistance to colleagues and any other department in the group as required
