The Insurance and Investment Management (I&IM) business group at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is now looking for strong Audit Managers to join their team in Insurance: Life, General, Lloyds and London Markets, Insurance Broking andInvestment Management: Real Estate, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Asset Management, Controls Reporting. About I&IM I&IM is the largest of the four main business groups within the Assurance and Business Advisory Services practice in London, having over 500 partners and staff within the group with a total revenue of approximately £80m. The client base includes a number of high profile, listed clients and therefore I&IM offers unrivalled opportunities and an exciting and varied client base in an open and proactive working environment.The training, on-the-job learning and development programmes are tailored to your needs. I&IM focuses development effort on your softer skills areas as well as more technical knowledge and experience, enhancing your personal development as you progress within the firm.

Responsibilities
You will lead teams, varying in size. You will have overall responsibility to deliver service to clients, including: Managing a client portfolio and reporting to the Senior manager / Partner Group; Managing and supervising of work to junior staff members and its delivery to the client; Managing the day to day client relationships; Staff management and coaching responsibilities; and Development of new business relationships and generating revenues.

Requirements
We expect you to have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Proven ability to interact with all levels of client and firm management and be used to working to tight deadlines and handling pressure.
  • ACA or similar qualification.
  • A financial services background is preferable but not essential.
  • Other relevant competencies include financial reporting frameworks such as UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP, and auditing frameworks such as ISAs and Sarbanes-Oxley.
