We are currently seeking experienced Intelligent Transport Systems Engineers to join a leading integration company specialising in automation and control systems. You will be working on a diverse range of projects, including Wide area data communications and telemetry system design and implementation, Traffic data gathering, CCTV surveillance, incident detection system design and integration, Lane Use Management and Driver Information Systems and Variable Speed Limit Systems. You will also be involved in road tunnel and bridge solutions.
The successful candidate will have a broad and technical experience profile across ITS / Motorway Management Systems and Road Tunnels and hands on project delivery experience. It is essential that you have substantial practical experience as these areas will be central to this role. You will have extensive formal qualifications and ideally have professional affiliations (e.g. IE CEng / IEng, FIET / MIET) to support your experience profile and will have excellent English language skills (both written and verbal) to enable you to deal with clients and contractors. Engineers who have been trained in an apprenticeship are also encouraged to apply.
As a person you will be a self-starter with a can-do personality requiring minimal close management. This company`s projects are geographically diverse, so you must be willing to travel and be flexible with regards to location.
