The Company
Robert Half are partnering with an large NHS organisation who are constantly seeking to drive improvement in the healthcare they deliver. We are looking for an Interim Associate Director within Continuing HealthCare & Individual Packages of Care.The organisation manages its continuing health care responsibilities in 3 separate operational teams (Mental Health/Learning Disability, Physical illness/disability and Childrens health) currently located across the commissioning and provider arms of the PCT. The organisation has initiated a major programme of change to bring all these functions together within an integrated management structure within the Commissioning PCT. This involves development of a new organisational structure, improved business processes and the creation of a new senior management post with both strategic and operational management responsibilities for these functions.
The Role - Organisational Change - devising new organisational structure, costing this and initiating HR and recruitment processes necessary to effect change.- Information & Finance - including selection and installation of new database.- Contracting - working with PCT contract team to develop contract framework and pricing structure for CHC/IPC.- Needs Analysis and market development - analysing needs met by CHC services and developing alternative and more cost effective commissioning/contracting strategies in collaboration with relevant programme staff.- Quality and Standards - development of quality standards, procedural guidance, training strategy and performance management systems for all elements of the CHC/IPC process.- Review of CHC fast track arrangements in acute hospitals for effectiveness and value for money.Operational management of the Mental Health /Learning Disability CHC Assessment Team, and Social Care IPC team with day to day responsibility for all aspects of the service including budget management.Identifying and delivering opportunities for savings within CHC/IPC processes as identified in PCT Consultancy reports.The individual will be required to have the following attributes:1.Experienced operational and strategic manager.2.Ideally with clinical background in healthcare, though social services background or other relevant experience will be considered.3.Knowledge and understanding of continuing health care and community care.4.Knowledge/experience of commissioning and contracting in health or social care environment.5.Good information analysis and management skills.6.Good finance analysis and management skills.7.Experience of staff management and HR processes.8.Knowledge and experience of project management techniques.
Salary & Benefits
The role will run from 3 to 6 months.
