As an Internal Sales Engineer (ISE), you will be expected to work flexibly and observe all agreements and custom and practice concerning inter-changeability of jobs.As a member of the sales and marketing team and reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director in the first instance, this demands substantial internal interface and supplier liaison. Customer contact is inevitable.
Taking instruction from Business Development Managers (BDM’s), Service Directors (SD’s), Contract Managers (CM’s), other work colleagues and customers outside of the formal lines of report, this position requires a proactive, self-managed detailed and task orientated approach.
Carry out detailed M&E planned preventative maintenance (PPM) cost pricing and estimation for new contracts, variations to contracts and re-tendered contracts including the creation of asset schedules and full proposal preparation for submission to customers on behalf of or in association with field based BDM’s and other colleagues
Undertake on-going improvements associated with the production, submittal and internal processing of enquiries and their related systems
Balance stringent technical compliance with best commercial value
Maintain robust and accurate records of output associated with the sales and marketing function
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To take responsibility and ownership of your personal and team associated duties.
Assimilate and communicate details of internal and customer initiated leads or enquiries and other sales related intelligence to the Sales and Marketing Director for dissemination and allocation to BDM’s or other interested parties for their action as appropriate.
Working from BDM surveys, pre-prepared tender documentation, internal and external leads and enquiries, undertake the timely, and accurate pricing and estimation of new, renewed and re-tendered M&E PPM contracts including the creation of asset schedules (using MS Excel software package) and proposal preparation (using MS Word software package) that accurately reflects the requirements of the customer.
Carry out the M&E PPM contract cost estimation and pricing in accordance with internal task schedules and time allowances and customer prepared schedules and SLA’s.
