An exciting opportunity has arisen within our calculations department for an internal sales estimator to produce quotations for a variety of projects ranging from small domestic extensions to £multi-million projects such as schools and hospitals.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the head of the calculations department, the successful
candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Processing sales estimates and quotations
• Reading and measuring from architectural drawings
• Providing effective support to the external sales representatives to ensure
delivery of timely and accurate quotations
• Communicating with staff and customers alike
• Providing sales support throughout the quotation and installation process
• Providing technical support and advice to customers
Person Specification
The ideal candidate must:
• Be computer literate, with good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word,
PowerPoint
• Have good analytical skills
• Be focused and task-driven
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to work on own initiative without need for constant supervision
• Be able to work under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner
It would be advantageous if the candidate:
• Has undertaken further or higher education in a mathematically based
discipline
• Has 2 years or more experience in mechanical services
• Has a good working knowledge of AutoCAD
