You will be responsible for technical aspects of project delivery, successful delivery of each development release project, on time and to agreed scope & quality and providing technical leadership within a small team. In return there is a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 plus benefits on offer, the role is based in London.
You will need to be able to work primarily as a "lead developer", but also be comfortable presenting their ideas (e.g. software and hardware architectures) to Management.
You should be someone who can operate at two ends of the scale, has the ability to and is happy to work on assignments that are hands on development or more business/upwardly focused.
I need someone with good development experience on enterprise level financial systems in a relevant industry and who understands the consultancy model.
Preferably 5+ years IT delivery experience, ideally within the service industry
Specific skills:
A Java/J2EE developer with 2+ years enterprise Java delivery.
Team lead experience
Strong Object Oriented skills (e.g. from Java or C++)
Experience of Oracle and Tibco would be a benefit
Strong UML design skills
Experience of iterative/agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP etc.)
Experience within the financial markets and finance business knowledge
A self-starter with excellent communication skills
Good team worker
Good coaching skills
Rigorous attention to detail
