The SQL database which uses stored procedures and is validated on DB2 and MS SQL Server 2008.
The web front-end which provides either query access without user controls or enhanced user functionality, or contains user authentication and additional functionality such as search history, results saving & sharing and report generation in XML & PDF.

Due to their current expansion of their software development team in Belfast, they are seeking to hire a Java Developer to help support demands from new customers.

The product itself is an fully multi-threaded n-tier architecture application with an open API for application integration and the company makes extensive use of stored procedures to ensure maximum performance.
Candidates need to have experience with Java based web services, particularly REST, web applications based development and J2EE in software product development. You will have experience of database design and development, and familiarity in working with automated build and test environments using Maven, Ant, JUnit, etc. It is expected you will have worked across the full software development lifecycle and have a good level of familiarity with agile development principles. You will be able to provide input into the testing process to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
