Responsibilities of the Java Developer:
Working as a Java Developer in Central London for one of the pioneering internet companies is a fantastic opportunity to use your strong enterprise back end Java development skills in a large data set environment. As a Java Developer experience of using XML, Hibernate / iBATIS, SQL / PostgreSQL or MySQL and Linux is essential.
Any exposure to API design, Spring and/or JMS would be beneficial but by no means essential as full training will be given. Working knowledge of the core Java libraries and open source libraries as well as experience with multithreading and design patterns is key.
As a crucial part of the Java Data team you will be working on all aspects of the development lifecycle from architecture, coding and testing through to deployment. You will need to be able to code systems that are distributed, scalable and fault tolerant under large amounts of data.
This role requires someone with strong XML and processing skills and someone who is precise in their approach to their work and someone who is focused and disciplined when it comes to unit testing and quality control.
