SUMMARY:
Provide expertise in Java/J2EE technologies. Provide support to end users and participate in development discussions with the rest of the IT team. Assist in the production of design requirements for the business. Follow development priorities and project management principles. Deliver timely robust solutions and support existing applications according to the business needs
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of code using Java technologies as required
- Adherence to source control and project management principles
- Documentation of development work
- End user support
- Participation in development discussions with the rest of the IT team
- Diagnosing and fixing production issues
- Testing new code prior to implementation
Person Specification
A degree in computing or IT. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience working in a commercial environment using Java
- Excellent Java/J2EE development skills
- Good understanding of SQL
- At least two years commerical experience
- Experience of full project lifecycle including development and support
- Experience of working in a high exposure position
