This specialist Software company based in Cambridge, are seeking a Java software developer to build next generation, web based state-of-the-art Java applications
The role is responsible for developing software components primarily in Java Spring as well as implementing best practices and identify performance bottlenecks within the system. You will be bringing your own ideas to the table and contributing to the overall design. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Object Oriented Programming in particular J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Tomcat, XML coupled with Object Databases knowledge and Relational Databases experience such as MySQL, PostgreSQL
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Strong J2EE and JSP skills
Solid experience in Spring Framework, Hibernate, Maven
Experience in MySQL or PostgreSQL and excellent knowledge of SQL, and optimization
AJAX (JavaScript/HTML/CSS/XML) experience
Knowledge of Apache Tomcat and Linux architecture
Understanding of Web standards cross-platform, cross-browser issues
Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
Passion for clean code and clear naming conventions
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
Should be highly self-directed, a strong individual contributor and a strong team player
