My client is a small but elite software and consultancy / vendor with a unique market proposition, an algorithmic trading risk management platform for Cross Product Margin / Margin Risk. Est. in 2000 and based in London (City) my client has a great opportunity for an ambitious and intelligent junior business analyst with circa 1 to 3 years front or middle office investment banking / credit trading risk experience. This company and role offer you the chance to become a big fish in the credit trading risk business working with cutting edge solutions directly with many of the worlds leading Hedge Funds and Prime Brokers. You will be part of a 4 person client team delivering and implementing Margin Risk or Cross Product Margin risk solutions as well as gathering business requirements from customers and developing the product itself. You will work across all asset classes and learn the complex Hedge Fund and Prime Brokerage business inside out. Ideal experience will involve either working within a Hedge Fund or Prime Broker within Front / Middle Office and an involvement in Credit Trading Risk. Exposure or knowledge of margin calculation engines, formula expressions, conditional logic and data modelling highly advantageous. You must be well versed with investment instruments and have strong SQL, EXCEL spreadsheet skills with ideally some VB although not essential. This role will offer you potential travel to the US for training users on schemas and data modelling and the chance to be an important valued expert in a rapidly growing business area. Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal skills and first -rate written and verbal English.
