Our client is an expanding IT services company renowned across the industry for developing intelligent IP network communication solutions. Due to continued business success, an opportunity has now arisen for a Junior Network Engineer to join their expanding Technical team.
For this role our client is looking to recruit a talented individual with a 'can do' attitude to compliment their team of experts. A good IT background is key, as is a desire to learn.
As a Junior Network Engineer you will be given excellent opportunities to learn and work with the very best of the industry to deliver projects that include VoIP, security, wireless, LAN/WAN design, and future technologies. You will also be given encouragement and training to achieve further IT qualifications.
To be considered for this position you must have a background in IT. This can be from a commercial role or from your studies, such as a degree (or equivalent). You must also be dynamic and presentable.
Any of the following would be useful, but is not essential:
- A good knowledge of Cisco IOS CLI and Cisco hardware platforms
- Knowledge of core networking technologies and protocols
- MS Windows product and network skills (including Active Directory, DNS and Exchange)
- Red Hat (Or other distros) Linux experience
- Voice over IP technologies and implementation experience
- Programming skills (Such as Java and Visual Basic/ASP.NET etc)
The ideal Junior Network Engineer will live within commuting distance of Derby, or will be willing to relocate.
