Your Profile

As a Key Account Manager within the Business Information and Publishing sector, you will have a minimum of 3 years successful sales experience; typically having managed Key Accounts from a content driven information sales background. Ideally you have experience of renewing Key Accounts and also developing new business through new companies and channels, or developing new business through the existing Key Account base. As an individual you will be a self-starter, money motivated, entrepreneurial and an excellent networker. It is also key that you are consultative in your sales approach and look to develop long-term relationships with accounts.

The Role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible to manage between 25-35 Key Accounts within this space, in which your clients already subscribe to the annual print and Online business information and content that my client offers. Your annual sales targets will be £1.2 million in which you will be expected to deliver 20% year on year growth through success key account management and new business development. You will be expected to pitch these new, yet highly successful solutions to Marketing, Product and Sales Directors. This is technical business information which will assist with key business strategic business making decisions for your clients, therefore the solution that you are selling adds real business value to their organisation. As a Key Account Manager, you will be expected to define and implement a strategic business plan for each account, researching your clients and establishing relationships with all information budget holders with a view to solution selling the information service portfolio. This role is predominantly office based, although you will be expected to visit UK clients frequently and will be expected to travel to Europe and USA approximately 4-5 times a year.
