A leading training provider is currently recruiting for a Key accounts manager to manage the relationships with a portfolio of key accounts, to identify and research development opportunities within key accounts and to generate and pursue new business leads.

Key Success Areasexceeding £15K new business target, securing a minimum of 90% renewal rate, attending at least 12 client visits per month, identification and conversion of new account opportunities, minimisation of outstanding renewals, delivery of business objectives as directed by the Key Account Manager and the Head of Customer Service and Commercial Development

Main Duties

·To achieve and exceed the expected £15K new business target per month through existing accounts

·To maintain a 90% quarterly renewal rate within existing client accounts

·To book and attend a minimum of 12 visits per month

·To conduct call campaigns to clients discussing particular subject areas of interest to their business

·To manage a territory based portfolio of approx 25accounts (however travel throughout the UK will be required depending on client’s office locations)

·To generate, pursue and convert new business opportunities

·To achieve and exceed new business revenue per month/quarter/year

·To develop and implement an individual account strategy that ensures individual client account needs are understood and surpassed

·To have regular and productive contact with clients over the phone, via email, and through face-to-face meetings

·Effective time management of split between the office and the field to ensure visits, calls, actions and research & development are achieved

·Effectively manage the key account renewal process to ensure timely renewal payments from existing accounts

Ideal Candidate

·Proven experience in account development and in identifying and securing new business opportunities

·At least 4 years experience in an external sales role where face-to-face external meetings form a key part of the role

·Ability to self motivate and work on own initiative in order to meet and exceed targets within given deadlines

·Skills to complete detailed research and accurately interpret to identify sales opportunities

·Excellent time management skills

·Excellent customer relationship skills and a drive to consistently exceed customer expectations

·Ability to confidently communicate, present and negotiate on all levels

·Enthusiastic approach with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

·A positive outlook with desire to learn and embrace new challenges

·Full UK driving licence

·Creative and innovative with a drive for continuous improvement

·Preferred education to degree level or above

·Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills with fluent written and spoken English

·Good SAP and CRM database knowledge
