Knowledge is a key strategic enabler of the firm's strategy. The knowledge services team seeks to act as enabler facilitating the flow and exchange of our collective knowledge and experience. As a Knowledge Broker you will be working with and supporting a Knowledge Advisor for harnessing, coordinating, deploying and utilisation of knowledge within the Financial Services (Banking sector).
The role is available on a transfer, secondment or permanent basis.
Key Requirements- Confident and skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing - this is essential.
- Experience creating or participating in the creation or writing of knowledge documents.
- Ability to multi task and manage a significant workload effectively under pressure.
- A good team player who takes initiative and ownership.
- Proven relationship management experience; ability to interact with people at all levels of the firm and confidence to influence / negotiate and ?encourage people to create and share information.
- Knowledge or related experience in knowledge management or the financial services sector is desired but not essential.
- Editorial and / or copy experience is desirable but not essential.
- Information management experience is desirable.
Responsibilities- Drives the execution of a knowledge business plan and content strategy by identifying sources of expertise, contacting experts and coordinating content creation relevant for sharing within the Financial Services sector and more broadly within the firm.
- Eliciting knowledge by interviewing people in the banking sector and writing citations/ case studies / lessons etc.
- Leveraging the support of content management services team to ensure information is regularly reviewed and retired when out of date.
- Coordinates knowledge sharing events and activities.
- Establishes effective relationships and becomes known as a reference point for people within the Banking sector needing to acquire information and broker's information requests to the most appropriate resources, sources or knowledge tools.
- Gathers user feedback and usage metrics of content to generate reports for sector leaders on implications of usage and overall value.
- Plays an active role in promoting the sharing aspect of content and information sources & services and informing people about its uses and benefits.
- Promotes the ?knowledge champion' and/or subject matter expert network with the broader firm, namely ensuring expertise can easily be identified on systems such as PeopleFind.
- Ensures all published content has the appropriate partner, client approval.
- Liaises with Marketing and Business Development enabling the delivery of knowledge services.
