Lead Auditor required in Manchester!!!
The successful candidate will be working closely with the Audit Manager, developing and delivering the audit plan through the effective management of a team of auditors in line with professional standards.
Key duties of the role will be:
- To undertake audit reviews, consultancy and investigations of a critical or sensitive nature as required.
- To undertake the day-to-day management responsibilities for a small team of auditors.
- To agree the scope and timing of individual audits through liaison with senior managers to ensure that the audits undertaken are effectively coordinated.
- To produce clear, objective and concise audit reports which may involve complex or sensitive issues.
The successful candidate should be a professionally qualified auditor (Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB), MIIA or another relevant professional qualification).
Interested candidates will have the following:
- Relevant experience of working in an internal audit environment or another related profession.
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for internal audit and detailed understanding of internal audit principles and techniques, including appreciation of the CIPFA Code of Practice for Internal Audit in Local Government and Accounts and Audit Regulations.
- A proven track record of managing and delivering high quality, effective audits across a range of areas found within large complex organisations.
- Evidence of workload planning, balancing conflicting demands and deadline achievement.
- Experience of resolving problems with senior managers and identifying practical solutions.
This position is a Fixed Term Contract for 3 Months with a possible extension. Interested candidates should be able to interview and start this position immediately if successful.
