Lead Designer / Instructional Design - ELearning / South East £35-45K
My client needs lead designers / E learning designers with learning approach/instructional model for bespoke e-learning and blended solutions. They also oversee the scriptwriting of solutions and work with my clients Art Directors to agree a look and feel. They work across a wide range of subject areas within both the private and public sectors.
My client is a world leader within Media E learning, offering a fantastic working environment with the highest calibre team in the country . They have been well recognised for their work aross the UK and have recieved numerous awards. Currently they have several roles for Instructional designers .
Main Purpose of Job:
To take ownership, control and responsibility for the design of the learning or solution, ensuring it meets the needs of the end user and the client. Research, analyse and design the solution ensuring that the content and interactivity are fit for purpose and designed within the agreed budget and schedule.
Main Duties:
• Manage, lead and coach a project design team
• Guide, support and advise customers on the benefits and implications of proposed solutions
• Define and agree schedule, budget and resourcing needs with Project Manager
• Assign project roles and responsibilities to project design team eg Script Editing, Template management. Work with lead Scripter on larger projects, to define or agree design and script standards
Help clients to question their assumptions, determine their business needs and identify solutions through to implementation
• Define or clarify the business and user needs
• Define or clarify the objectives and develop the content structure
• Write design documents to meet the objectives of the programme, within the constraints of the project, and in consultation with the Lead Developer ensure the proposed solution is technically feasible
• Prepare content blueprint and design/scripting standards
• Liaise and communicate with clients to gain information, feedback and approval acting as primary point of contact with SMEs
