Lead Web Developer – Cardiff - £28,000 – £40,000 – Two vacancies
Two vacancies for an experienced Lead Web Developer in the Cardiff area, this is an exceptional opportunity with a market leader in eCommerce solutions, backed by the Welsh government and very well positioned for continual success.
Following unprecedented growth in the market and major project wins you’ll be working on some of the most cutting edge eCommerce solutions out there.You’ll work on a number of high profile, fully customised eCommerce solutions using the latest open source technologies ranging in value from £30k to £1m, working on multiple complex project lasting up to 8 months. They’re off to the London eCommerce expo next month to showcase some of their latest work and attend all of the big eCommerce shows.
As Lead Web Developer you’ll report to the Head of eCommerce, who is also an experienced developer, and form a key member of the eCommerce team; a close knit unit consisting of 2 other PHP Developers (plus Head of eCommerce), SEO specialist, Sales, Support, Web Designer, and a highly experienced Tester.The emphasis is on high quality solutions, and their established team form a tight unit focussed on delivering fully customised, robust solutions.This is an excellent opportunity for career progression, and would suit an experienced Developer (2+ years experience developing with PHP in commercial environment) with Team leadership experience .This is a career opportunity, not just a job.
Requirements:
- Confident in your ability to code in OO PHP5 - essential
- Linux / Unix experience
- MySQL
- JavaScript
- HTML
- CSS
- Experience developing eCommerce solutions
- Drupal (writing modules and themes) – highly desirable, but not essential
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience estimating costs and scheduling for projects would be nice
- Highly motivated, keen to learn new technologies and keep up to date with emerging technologies
- Mentoring / Team leadership experience a real plus
