Job Description : 

This role will support the recent start-up and implementation of the new business.

Working closely with the Head of People & Development, and as a part of the Learning and Development team, the post holder will design, develop and deliver practical and effective learning and development interventions and initiatives in a timely, professional and accurate way and which support the company values.

Key tasks

1.

Contribute to the implementation of the L&D strands of the People Strategy ensuring contribution to the delivery of business targets.

2.

Design, develop and deliver training to support corporate services and operational delivery.This will include development interventions in processes, leadership management & development, customer service, performance management, and corporate induction.Employ a range of methods to innovatively and appropriately to meet learners’ needs through use of a variety of contemporary, innovative and relevant techniques.

3.

Develop training material and other guidelines as appropriate to support learning and development solutions.

4.

Monitor and measure the effectiveness of learning and development interventions, and act upon feedback to improve the provision of learning and development.

5.

Source and manage external suppliers for learning and development interventions.

6.

Contribute to other learning and development initiatives and projects as required.

7.

Champion learning and development within company, and encourage individuals to take responsibility for their own learning.

8.

Provide support and guidance for staff undertaking internal qualifications.

9.

Carry out assessment and evaluation of internal qualification programmes.

Provide one to one advice and coaching to staff on learning and development matters as required.

11.

Contribute to the development of service improvements through your participation and involvement in team meetings, workshops, conferences and other groups.

12.

Work flexibly and respond positively to changing business needs and to undertake such other duties appropriate to the level of the post that may reasonably be required.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

·Have, or be prepared to work towards, Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development Certificate (CIPD) in Training Practice or an equivalent qualification or comparable experience.

·Experience of designing, developing and delivering training programme and skills based workshops for staff and managers.

·Specifically, experience in designing and delivering training to meet operational business needs would be advantageous.

·Have, or be prepared to work towards A1 Assessor Certificate, or hold a PGCE qualification.

·Experience of assessing work products in relation to internal/external qualifications
