Lecturer of Hospitality

LECTURER (SENIOR TUTOR) HOSPITALITY

Hours: 1.0 FTE (37 hours per week)


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual with vision and drive to join a well established Hospitality Department situated on the south coast. You will be part of a team responsible for the organisation and delivery of a wide range of courses to learners from 14 years of age to adults.

The Department operates a fine dining restaurant plus a coffee shop which are both open to the public.

We are looking for a multi-skilled Lecturer to work with a committed, close team of hospitality professionals with the following:-

- Sound knowledge of up-to-date experience of fine dining operations, alcohol beverage service and professional cookery
- Ability to deliver a range of theory and practical sessions ranging from VRQ Level 1 to Level 3
- A relevant degree or equivalent Level 4/5 professional qualification is essential A teaching qualification (at least to PTTLs level is desirable, or willingness to attain a teaching qualification to DTLLs level or equivalent within 2 years)
- Assessor and Verifier Awards (A1 and V1)
- Proven excellent teaching and communication skills along with an understanding of current and future developments in both the Education and Hospitality fields
- Experience of teaching Functional Skills is desirable
