Our client is a modern international engineering company strategically based throughout the UK. They now require Lifting Gear Technicians who are familiar with servicing and repairing a range of small lifting gear such as hoists, round slings and cable pullers, shackles, Turfers, Eye Bolts and other equipment. You will be involved in servicing their customers in West and North London locations. You will be field based travelling directly to their customer's sites to inspect and service their lifting requirements.
You will be involved in repair and maintenance of hoists,slings & lifting tackle, service inspection contracts, up grade projects plus supply and installation of new equipment. You will also be responsible for the testing and certification of overhead cranes,hoists and general lifting equipment.
You should have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship and/or completed relevant technical training. Useful skills would include the following: Knowledge of Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements; Good level of IT Literacy;Experience of AutoCAD systems ; Knowledge of Electrical controls and IE regulations. You should also have good communication skills and enjoy dealing with customers and suppliers! You will be given the opportunity to further your training and qualifications to keep within industry legislation. You will take part in an on call rota to support their customers out of hour needs.
Additionally you will support other areas in the field of Security Gates and Barriers making this position a very varied and interesting role. Company van provided.
