Logistics Development Manager
Location:Leicestershire
Salary:£30,000 - £40,000 + Benefits - Dependant on experience
Our client is a market leader within the FMCG and Home Delivery Sector who strives to achieve customer service excellence through quality of service, delivery and goods.
Due to an increase in business activity, they are now recruiting for a Logistics Development Manager who will have a broad range of general management responsibilities and tasks allocated whilst supporting the UK Director in his own role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*Support the UK Director in overseeing, managing and reporting on business improvement projects.
*As necessary act as project manager.
*Collect and assess logistical data for use by the Director and senior management team. Interpret this data; provide effective reports on captured data and support the UK Director in the development of effective business presentations.
*To act as the key liaison person between logistics and its various internal customers. Develop effective cross functional communication channels and as necessary hold meetings between logistics and its internal customers. Resolve ad hoc issues.
*Develop, implement and champion employee communications aimed at increasing employee awareness of business events and their engagement in the business. With the support of the marketing function be responsible for overseeing the issuing of relevant newsletters.
*Liaise with finance department on all property matters. Ensure finance is aware of all operation matters relating to property management and the appropriate actions have been taken.
*Work with other logistical Directors and managers on allocated tasks.
The successful candidate will ideally be degree educated, looking for a career within logistics, will be delivery focussed and will be instrumental in delivering and implementing new ideas and solutions.
