JOB DETAILS
Position Title: Logistics Manager
Reports To: Project Director
Business Unit / Department King Abdullah Financial District
JOB PURPOSE
To develop and maintain procedure that will ensure the unhampered access around the site for all contractors and 3rd Party Developers. Instigate traffic flow plans and constantly update in line with the ongoing and planned site activities. Develop and implement a security system which controls effectively access and exit of personnel and vehicles to and from the site.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Description Performance Indicators
" Development, implementation and up dating of the Logistics and Construction Guidelines.
" Organize and chair kick-off meetings with developers, write the minutes, and to make sure that they are properly distributed.
" Develop and implement a site routing/traffic and security plan to facilitate the smooth operation of the site for all parties, keeping disruption to a minimum.
" To organize and run weekly meetings with all contractors and developers to identify any potential problems that may impact the smooth running of the site.
" Review Developer's method statements and modus operandi, to ensure that they comply with the Logistics Guidelines.
" Maintain records of the progress of 3rd Party Developers, PPA 10 Contractors and others as brought on board.
" Ensure that each Contractor and/or Developer stays within his allotted plot, or review any concessions that may be possible, with respect to the anticipated arrival of adjacent Developers
" Monitor the progress of Contractors and Developers time schedules.
" Plan and manage the site "real estate" in terms of identifying and allocating available land to contractors / developers for their temporary labor camps, lay down/storage areas, site offices, in close coordination with RIC (including the sales department)
" Prepare "look ahead" plans to indicate the expected progress status of each area on a monthly basis and report to the Project Director
Job Context (WORK ENVIRONMENT (INTERNAL and EXTERNAL), DECISION MAKING SERVICES)
" The Site Logistics Manager is based on site and reports to the Project Director.
" The Site Logistics Manager will liaise with all KAFD PM's, Developers' reps, contractors' reps, to ensure that all interface and co-ordination matters are dealt with in a timely fashion. In other words, the incumbent is the "bridge" between the different parties that have to work together on site.
" The Site Logistics Manager will be extremely pro-active to ensure that the site runs smoothly and that the potential problems are recognized ahead of time and resolved accordingly.
" The Site Logistics Manager will work closely with the HSE Manager, to ensure adequate co-ordination exists with all contractors / developers and that the site safely is fully respected.
