My client is a global-market-leading provider of state of the art mobile messaging and wireless internet infrastructure, applications and solutions.
They have a role for a MCIPS Senior Supply Manager - YOU MUST HAVE SUPPLY EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A TELECOMMS OR SOFTWARE COMPANY !
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all purchasing contracts for my clients turnkey solutions and relationships worldwide
- Develop the organization, processes, relationships, and contracts necessary for effective procurement and cost management of my clients 3rd party costs
- Support customer deployments through the design and execution of an effective Supply Chain
- Implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency
- Manage and negotiate long term agreements of the supply base, including post tender supplier management and liaising with business heads
- Rationalize supplier data base
- Drive the development and revision of purchasing policies
- Identify suppliers and partners for capitalizations and special projects
Skills and Competencies
The successful candidate will have 10+ years of procurement experience and 2+ years of experience a similar senior procurement/purchasing role. The ability to negotiate and an understanding of contracts are essential. Strong analytical and verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Bachelor of Commerce or CIPS Level 6 Graduate Diploma preferred; however a relevant Post secondary education will be considered;
- Previous management experience;
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK;
- Critical thinking and problem solving capabilities;
- Effective communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships across all levels and functions of the company;
- Flair for creativity, attention to detail, and strong organization skills;
