My client is looking for an enthusiastic team player with strong SQL Server skills and a motivation for excellence, problem solving, structured thinking, and high-quality work. You must have good communication skills. You will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, maintaining and troubleshooting critical production databases. In addition you will be involved in the design and build of new systems, including high-availability SQL Server 2005 based solutions.
You must have extensive experience of administrating SQL Server 2005 and 2000 databases in a production environment, strong skills in T-SQL, SSRS/SSIS, DTS, backup and recovery, creating stored procedures, tuning and security, and knowledge of SQL Server 2008. Ideally you will have MCSE/MCDBA certification. Experience of SQL Data Mirroring, Clustering and Integration Services is of particular interest. .NET, BizTalk, SAS, ITIL and Visual Basic are also desirable skills. You will be working in a team which also supports Oracle environments so Oracle 11G/10G/9i, RMAN & OWB will also be desirable.
