We're recruiting for a highly skilled Electrician to provide a maintenance function to our two major sites in Brentford and call out facility. The role will include the day to day responsibility for site maintenance and installation works, together with the co-ordination and supervision of sub-contractors, deliveries and third party organisations engaged in the activities of the Electrical Support Group.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience :
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification or certified training in the following:
- Recognised time served electrical installation apprenticeship.
- Electrical Engineering.
- Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations in accordance with the current BS:7671, IEE Wiring Regulations.
- Electrical Installation in accordance with the current BS:7671, IEE Wiring Regulations.
- Ability to use engineering drawings, manuals and
Knowledge, Skills and Competence
- Essential:
- Practical electrical experience within an industrial / commercial related industry with direct exposure to:
UPS systems. DC power systems. Standby Generation. AC and DC power installation, inspection, testing and certification in accordance with the current BS: 7671, IEE Wiring Regulations. Electrical plant, equipment and facilities maintenance. HVAC systems. LV switch-boards Working knowledge of H&S legislation. Working knowledge of related British Standards and codes and practise.

ResponsibilitiesThe post holder, in conjunction with the Project Engineer(s) and / or Group Manager, shall have responsibility for planning and completing all necessary electrical installation and first line maintenance requirements, organise and manage essential spares handling, procurement of materials and fluid stocks required to support the day to day operations of the site.
- This ‘hands on' role is required to support, both practically and technically, the day to day operations of the Electrical Support Group which currently operate and maintain a portfolio of office and technical telecommunications buildings throughout the UK. As a key member of the Electrical Support Group the post holder will be directly involved in the outline design, installation, inspection and testing, certification, planned and preventative maintenance, record keeping, documentation, fault identification and rectification, together with sub-contractor co-ordination of the site electrical plant and facilities

Additional InformationHours: Core Hour 9-5 Monday to Friday with additional hours to meet business needs and on call
