The Role of a Maintenance Engineer:
As a maintenance engineer your role will be varied as well as challenging as you will be responsible for the companies wide range of high tech machinery and facilities. Tasks you will be involved in will include; planned and reactive maintenance, the running of the lines when required, changeovers, and continuous improvement to ensure the optimal quality and efficiencies are achieved. You will be working within a close knit team on a permanent night’s role with overtime available to complement your basic salary.
Key Skills:
Due to the variety and demands of the role our client is looking for a multi-skilled engineer who has been formally trained via an apprenticeship. From this you would have achieved a BTECH, ONC or City and Guilds in Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate would be from a manufacturing environment, food/FMCG is desirable, where they would have had experience maintaining, operating and improving the machinery. Exposure to Steam/Air/HVAC/Water is advantageous as well as experience fault finding on PLC’s. The ability to work in a team is essential as well as flexibility with shifts etc to help meet the needs of the business.
