Role Description
Working on a fleet of modern rolling stock, you will work as part of a shift maintenance team conducting both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance. Work will include both electrical and mechanical service and repair to systems inclusive of (but not limited to) wheels, brakes, bogies, driver controls, Air Conditioning, lighting, heating, toilets etc. This is a high performance, high productivity environment meaning employees must be driven to achieve the targets set. Work is completed over a 24hr basis on a shift roster consisting of 2 early shifts (6am - 2pm), 2 afternoon shifts (2pm - 10pm), 2 night shifts (10pm - 6am) followed by two days off.
Required Skills & Experience
Successful applicants will have demonstrable experience in a rolling stock engineering maintenance environment. Applicants must hold an engineering qualification equivalent to at least an NVQ 3 level. Rail experience is essential to be considered for this role. Candidates form outside the rolling stock industry will not be considered for the role.
