Our client is a traditional high volume manufacturing company based in North Yorkshire. They are now going through a process of change with considerable multi million pound investments in new plant and machinery, introduction of lean manufacturing techniques, up skilling of the workforce and overall site development to transform them into a modern manufacturing facility.
As part of this growth they are now looking to strengthen and improve their maintenance department by recruiting an electrically biased multi skilled Maintenance Engineer with a genuine “blank sheet of paper” opportunity to carry out the following:
- Devise, implement and manage a new PPM system.
- Develop and improve their spare parts department.
- Implement lean maintenance techniques.
- Implement a condition monitoring system.
- Provide the site with a high level of electrical engineering expertise.
- Effective resolution of plant and machinery breakdowns.
- PLC fault finding and repair, basic modifications to programmes.
- Training of other technicians and operators.
Person Required:
- Time served electrical maintenance background with good mechanical abilities as well.
- Previous background of working in a modern manufacturing facility.
- PLC Skills.
- HNC electrical engineering.
- Previous team leading/supervisory experience.
- Modern maintenance tools and techniques.
- Able to develop and implement maintenance systems.
- Robust and resilient character.
- Looking for a challenging and exciting career move.
- Ability to be part of a cultural change programme.
- Initially a daysfit position, but must be willing to work shifts.
