Our client were founded eight years ago and are a developing company who provide Scientific, Engineering, Safety and Risk Management Consulting services to clients across a wide range of industry sectors. Their main areas of practice include structural engineering, structural mechanics, earthquake engineering, offshore engineering, fluid dynamics and major hazards engineering.
They are looking to appoint committed, high quality, scientists and engineers to take on a variety of technical roles throughout the company.

The Opportunity
Our client has a number of positions, at different levels of responsibility, to support this core area of our practice. The positions are ideal for individuals with a desire to gain new skills, or those who are experienced in one or more aspects of Major Accident Hazards, including identification, modelling, mitigation, and research and development.
The successful applicant will become involved in projects related to oil, gas, LNG, Hydrogen, and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects, located both onshore and offshore, and in a diverse range of locations.
Much of our client's work is in support of safety studies or engineering development and covers the spectrum of project phases, from Concept Development to Detailed Design. As well as consulting assignments you will also be involved in technical development work to generate new tools and applications.
Less experienced applicants would augment our existing activities, whilst the opportunity exists for an experienced person to take on more management responsibilities.
Background/Experience
Successful candidates will have a good degree in an engineering or science discipline, and may be qualified to a higher level. Our staff are drawn from a variety of backgrounds, including academia, research, vendors, design, consulting, regulatory, and operations.
We are interested in all levels of technical and management experience, however candidates must have gained at least three years relevant work experience.
Key attributes being sought could be a fundamental understanding of the physics and chemistry of the hazard, or the ability to script/program, or knowledge of modelling tools such as FLACS, EXSIM, CFX, FLUENT, or AutoReaGas.
