This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading FMCG business based in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
Flamingo has ambitious plans to grow further over the next few years and is now looking for a high calibre 'self starting' individual to take responsibility for their Management Accounts.
This autonomous role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for:
- Ensuring weekly accounts are prepared in a timely manner and that they accurately reflect the underlying data
- Ensuring weekly reports are communicated to the relevant operating managers ensuring they are assisted in their understanding of the performance measures used.
- Maintaining sales and margin information and making the business aware of any significant changes
- Maintaining and develop costing information that accurately reflects the underlying products and the performance of the business
- Ensuring stock takes are performed accurately and that cut-offs are accurately identified and actions are undertaken when issues arise
- Liaising with the finance accountant and financial controller identifying variances between the weekly and monthly accounts and rectifying control issues that created the variance
- Providing support to the commercial and product development teams in the costing process
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA ) with drive and enthusiasm. You will have strong hands on Management Accounting experience, preferably within an FMCG or Manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to manage the factory functions coupled with strong communications skills to enable clear communications of financial requirements to non-financial people.
