Negotiable Salary:£60 - £80K+ Bonus + Benefits
Our client is a well established global company working within a niche area of design and manufacturing with an exciting and ambitious plan for expansion during 2010 and beyond. They are currently in the envious position of supplying to the market leading brand names providing consumer products throughout the world through a network of commercial, public and retail distributors.
The Managing Director will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward to achieve enhanced performance ensuring that all facets are working at optimum levels. You will deal extensively with customer decision makers to Director / Board level engendering excellent relations and partnerships to be translated into profitable commercial contracts.
You will lead and develop the management team working closely with Finance and Sales Directors fostering a dynamic cultural environment with a hands-on approach. You will have an ongoing and up to date comprehensive understanding of all facets of the business including; customers, existing and potential contracts, schedules, supply capability, resources and ultimately the company P&L.
The Successful Candidate will have a proven and clear track record of success within a similar role at senior management / director level. It is essential that you understand the fundamentals of how a medium sized enterprise works from the shop floor to the Boardroom coupled with a sound financial and commercial acumen.
You may come from a financial / commercial back ground / possibly ACA qualified or equivalent and have excellent business skills. You will be a first class communicator and negotiator with the drive to succeed.
Above all you will have the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers / the flexibility to understand diverse points of view but also the strength and determination to stand your ground and to carry forward the company objectives.
