This is an excellent role for a managing editor with a passion for the world of finance! If investments and what`s the latest status with the pound are topics you are passionate about then this managing editor role will be your dream job! As the managing editor, you will be joining a unique organisation with a very unique way of writing copy! As the managing editor, you will adopt their house style, which is a conversational and informative tone, but one which makes copy impossible to put down!!
As the managing editor, a background in writing financial material is an advantage, but not essential. The essential requirement is to have an opinion on the financial state of affairs and to always know the latest news! The managing editor will look after a team of 3 internal editorial staff and several freelance staff. You will be responsible for making sure the editorial output is to the highest standard. You will also be responsible for mentoring the staff and making sure they adopt the house style.
The managing editor will ideally be an experienced writer who has a real interest in finance and investing, and someone who has managed and trained people before. If you are an innovative editor bursting with ideas, here is your blank canvass to get writing on!
