MANAGING QUANTITY SURVEYOR - £50K + PACKAGE - GRANGEMOUTH, SCOTLAND

My client is a leading construction and civil engineering contractor operating throughout the UK, with a turnover in excess of £1 billion pounds across various groups and sectors.

They are a respected contractor with an extremely bouyant rail division. it is infact their rail division that are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work in Grangemouth, Scotland.

Duties will include:

o Reporting to Commercial Manager
"Management of QS Site Teams
"Sub contract and design procurement
"Management of performance measures including KPI's
o Management of the production of all contracts/subcontracts etc
o Working closely with the Operations Manager on all commercial issues
o Responsible for forecasting / cost loading of schedule
o Managing contractual issues on project
o Management of the risk process
o Liaison with Client Commercial Managers
o Liaison with Client Cost Consultant on Cost Audits

You should be a fully qualified quantity surveyor from a rail and/or civil engineering background with a HND/BSC in Quantity Surveying. You will also have a logical, committed approach to your work with an enthusiastic attitude.

Candidates that do not have civils main contracting experience will not be considered for this role as it is important that this person fits in to this role straight away and experience in a relevant market is necessary.

You should be familiar with various forms of contract and ideally be a member of the RICS or ICES.

Computer skills required are: Microsoft office, Excel, Word and Access.
