Our client is one of the UK’s largest food manufacturing & processing companies. Following an internal restructure they are looking to appoint Manufacturing Change Managers to deliver a significant & varied ‘Change’ agenda to radically alter the way the Company operates & meets the needs of its customers.

The Role

  • Working closely with both HR & the Manufacturing Director you will take responsibility for developing & implementing product and process improvements for all areas in manufacturing across a number of sites in support of the overall business objectives.
  • To lead, drive, and sustain the cultural and technical changes necessary to make the business a world class manufacturer.
  • Develop a strong network with stakeholders to help implement best practice solutions and ensure appropriate and efficient use of resources.
  • Drive the manufacturing sites forward with a focus on lean manufacturing & best practice.
  • Evaluate operational performance and development needs in conjunction with business plans, thereby challenging potential.
  • Provide perspectives on business plans, profitability improvements, and policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of technological innovations and identify, design and direct activities that improve profitability.
  • Utilise the technical resources available for the preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, with the objective of effectively using these resources to achieve desired performance levels.
  • Participate in senior management meetings and play a key role in establishing business and operational strategies.
  • Focus on business performance improvements that yield zero accidents, defect free products, on demand and on time delivery, at the lowest cost by partnering with key members of the senior management team.
  • Act as a key facilitator for change across the business, supporting management through cross functional decisions by communicating the company’s changes to employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow through this transformation.

The Person

  • Degree educated, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results and lead innovation and change.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to build, lead and motivate teams across multiple sites
  • Experience of delivering Lean Manufacturing principles within manufacturing in food or beverages
  • First-class communication skills, along with proven proficiency in facilitation, collaboration and presentations
  • Comfortable with operating in an ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated leadership success in complex fast-moving environments
  • Ability to direct and motivate others through open communication, listening & problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated creativity in solving technical and business problems.
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of operating costs
