Manufacturing Director
This role is with a high tech electronics company who are developing scalable infrastructure solutions for the comms and wireless telephony markets.
Based from their Oxfordshire premises, your role will involve working closely with the management, the supply chain and development teams to optimise the company's manufacturing model. This will involve a high degree of strategic planning, the definition of goals and existing capabilities and commercial negotiation with an outsourced manufacturing operation.
The main facets of the job are:-
o The development of business proposals and commercial agreements designed to meet the objectives of the business
o The conduct of commercial negotiations with customers and supply chain partners
o Management of strategic planning processes / projects - you will be required to identify probable bottlenecks and deal with them, and make investment prioritisation decisions
o Able to design and implement an overall manufacturing strategy with an outsourced manufacturing supply chain
To do this job successfully, it is anticipated that you will be a dynamic, senior level supply chain/manufacturing manager or director, with a track record of delivering high tech products from development to manufacture using worldwide supply chain partners. You will be a natural leader, with practical and proven abilities in material planning and procurement, inventory control and management, production planning and technical production implementation. Ideally, you will have some RF manufacturing background, but a background in electronics/computer hardware manufacture would also be suitable.
