The Role
Following expansion at their highly-automated, fast-paced and modern manufacturing facility, they seek to recruit a Manufacturing Manager. This role is critical to the success of this site. You will lead and motivate Production Team Leaders and be responsible for productivity and driving through continuous improvements, utilising manufacturing methodologies, such as 6S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kanban and Kaizen. You will have full responsibility for recruiting, training and motivating your team. This role will involve working days for two-thirds of the time with some shift / night cover for the remaining period.
Your Background
To apply you should be able to demonstrate a background in Production, Manufacturing, Process or Operations Management. You may be educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Production Management, Manufacturing Systems or equivalent. You will have at least four years commercial experience working in a fast moving consumer goods manufacturing environment - e.g. Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceutical or Automotive.
Above all else you must be a confident leader and have excellent people management skills. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear track record of improving productivity and efficiency KPIs within a production facility. You should have good communication and influencing skills and be determined to drive through continuous improvements.
