Marketing Manager – EIBTM(Global Meetings and Incentives Exhibitions)

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to head up the Marketing Team for EIBTM.EIBTM is the flagship of Reed Travel Exhibitions’ global and market leading portfolio of Meetings and Incentives Exhibitions.
This role needs a dynamic, pragmatic and tenacious individual with excellent communication and management skills to oversee the strategic planning, design, implementation, management and execution of the exhibitor and visitor campaigns.
Reports to: Exhibitions Director
Based at: Richmond, Surrey, UK
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies to meet agreed event strategic objectives
- Evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor data and produce an effective and engaging marketing plan
- Overseeing multi-channel online and offline marketing activities to achieve frequent, timely and effective event promotion and measure campaign effectiveness
- Developing an annual marketing budget and delivering marketing activity on time and within budget
- Using your creative ability to develop show initiatives, educational programmes and special events to enhance event content
- Managing and overseeing the Trade Visitor, Hosted Buyer and Exhibitor marketing and PR campaigns
- Proactively establishing and maintaining effective working team relationships with all support departments, industry partners, trade associations and our advisory panels - both locally and globally
- Direct line management of a number of direct reports
You will need to build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Proven track record in marketing, preferably in the exhibition environment
- A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- A strategic thinker and team player with good analytical and communicative skills
- A willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals building effective relationships with partners and suppliers and be culturally sensitive
- Experience in budget and people management
- Experience of the meetings and events industry is desirable
- Foreign languages and knowledge of international markets would be an advantage
