The Role

Following expansion, they now seek to recruit an experienced Field Marketing Manager, responsible for a wide range of vital marketing and sales support activities. This is a new position that will be the marketing lead for the biological safety cabinet business in the UK. This is a home based role that will involve around 40% travel within the British Isles, to customer sites, trade shows, Channel Partners and sales meetings.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for delivering regional revenue, profitability and market share growth objectives.
  • Develops the regional commercial plan, including development and implementation of tactics, to accomplish growth targets.
  • Works closely with Divisional, Regional and Business Unit leadership teams to drive execution of strategy and tactics to achieve business objectives.
  • Defines and works closely with direct and channel partners to drive execution of strategy and tactics to achieve business objectives.
  • Defines regional promotional tools and sales tactics to drive sales including product pricing, promotional tactics, and distribution channels.
  • Represent the regional market/customer needs to product management in the development of new products and solutions.
  • Defines core competency requirements of sales team and works with regional sales leaders to ensure appropriate distribution of competencies to facilitate growth.
  • Works with Marketing Communications to implement promotional tactics and establishes metrics to assess performance of each promotional program.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure back office customer support competencies and processes are aligned to meet customer needs.
  • Works with Business Units to define regional trade show strategies including national, local channel partner and One Thermo activities.
  • Organizes and conducts product training for the commercial teams, inside sales and channel partners

Your Background

To be considered for this post, you must be able to demonstrate at least two years experience gained in a marketing management or product manager post, from within the life sciences, laboratory systems or scientific instrumentation sectors. A degree in marketing or a relevant scientific discipline is preferred.
