A permanent position is available for a Bioinformatician to join the Molecular Biology Core Facility (MBCF). This post will primarily support the MBCF Biological Mass Spec facility providing analysis on a wide range of protein analysis workflows.Mayor areas of interest are in both quantitative proteomic applications and an array of post translational modification analysis.
The successful candidate will require a degree in Degree in Biochemistry or a related discipline (or equivalent). The successful candidate will have some experience of analysing complex biological datasets and exposure to mass spec analysis would be desirable. The postholder will work closely with lab based members of the Core Facility, the Paterson Institute Bioinformatics research group and Scientific and Medical researchers from many groups within the Paterson Institute.
