Our client is a leading FMCG company based in South Wales who operates a 24/7 fast moving manufacturing site, who is seeking a dynamic Master Production Planner to join their team.

The role:

• Oversee the 16-week production cycle of the company
• Ensure that all production planning for the factory, control of the raw material stock.
• To ensure work in progress and finished goods are effectively controlled.
• Ensure production is in line with demand and this is reflected in the forecast distributed by the Sales and Marketing Department.
• Monitor the accuracy of the sales forecasts, highlighting significant deviations on a monthly basis.
• Ensure Forecast Accuracy by providing feedback to, and working with the Sales & Marketing Team.
• Plan production for all departments against the sales forecast
• Prepare and issue on a weekly basis the plans for all production areas based on forecast sales and a 16 week plan
• Arrange planning meetings to discuss quarterly issues with other key functions e.g. Operations, Technical, Sales and Finance
• Provide recommended staffing levels to the operations team based on production standards, maintain capacity figures for all processes and report on these figures into the Group Periodically.
• Ensure effective communication is maintained within the factory, within the support functions and within the Group.
  
  The successful candidate:
• Experienced Master/Senior Production Planner from within the manufacturing sector in FMCG or food
• Experienced in the application of SAGE 100/200 or MRP2 production planning software.
• Track record of delivering results in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
• Can demonstrate successfully of working with the ever changing demands of customers
• Team Player
• Excellent communications skills
