Mechanical Design Engineer / Engineering Project Manager - 3D Modelling

Our client specialises in the supply and installation of dust extraction and fume extraction systems. With over 25 years' experience, they have an extensive product range covering all applications including ship building, off shore installations, food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical and general engineering. An opportunity has now arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer / Engineering Project Manager to join their team.
This role would suit a motivated design engineer with good 3D modelling design skills, looking to join a growing company.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer / Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for taking projects from initial design through to completion. This will include co-ordinating the company's in house manufacturing facility along with their sub contractor network, and implementing the finished product at the client's site.
Working closely with the company directors, as a Mechanical Design Engineer / Engineering Project Manager you will be tasked with ensuring projects are completed within set time scales without compromising quality and cost guidelines. The projects you will work on range from the development of new bespoke products and enhancements to their standard range of products, to complete turn-key systems.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Extensive mechanical engineering or manufacturing experience
- Good 3D modelling design experience, including proficiency using SolidWorks or Inventor packages
- A minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
Experience within the dust and fume extraction industry would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.
