Mechanical Design Engineer
(Machinery Design, Autodesk Inventor Experience)
£20 - £25 p/h, 3 Month Contract
Due to winning a substantial number of orders with several high profile clients around the world, this rising star business in the field of bespoke machinery design is experiencing a rapidly increasing workload with major growth expected over the next few months. With projects already well underway and a lack of skilled expertise within the business to complete all work, there is an immediate requirement for a design engineer on a contract basis.
The role will involve:
*Working with a project manager as part of a small team.
*Conceptual design of bespoke special purpose machinery. This will be mostly CAD work. Calculations are not part of the role as there is a team already in place.
*Working on mechanisms, assemblies, fabrications, enclosures, housings etc.
*systems integration - linking machinery with other areas of the plant
*Creating drawings on Inventor including BOM's and associated documentation.
The successful applicant will possess the following key skills and abilities. Our client will not accept candidates without all the following:
*A strong working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.
*Experience specifically with machine design (machine tools, packaging machinery, automation, robotics or other complex machinery).
*Concept design knowledge.
*Able to work as part of a small team.
The client will offer the successful applicant:
*An initial 3 month contract with opportunities for extensions.
*Available overtime.
*Between £20 and £25 p/h Ltd (dependent on skills and experience).
