Mechanical Design Engineer - 3 month Contract - £23 per hour Ltd
Working for a well established company who design and manufacture bespoke machinery for various industries. Due to winning a new project for the process industry they are looking to recruit a design engineer for a minimum of 3 months that could be extended for a period of up to 12 months.
What the role will involve:
1.Taking initial concepts you will be responsible for the mechanical design of special purpose machinery from the ground up using Inventor. This machinery could have various uses including filling, packaging or palletising. All of this machinery will include mechanisms, assemblies, components, enclosures and fabrications.
2.You will be working within a small, dedicated team of specialists. This will include mechanical, electrical and control system design all of whom report directly in to a senior project manager who has overall responsibility of the project.
3.You will also be responsible for the associated documentation for your design work. This will consist of BOM's, parts lists, manufacturing drawings and some manuals.

1.Concept mechanical design engineering experience with the ability to use Inventor to create detailed 3D cad drawings.
2.Experience with the design of special purpose machinery from any industry sector.
3.Good communication and team working skills, as it is a small and close knit team working to complete the project to challenging, yet realistic deadlines.
