The Company
My client are a specialist manufacturing firm for the Oil and Gas industry. The product they manufacture is very innovative and interesting, it has to perform in an intense environment at 1600 horse power, 150 degrees C at 500 PSI. Working for my client you would have a lot of scope to progress and develop.
The Role
The successful engineer will join a team and be involved in many aspects of the manufacturing process including:
Research and Development
Conceptual Design
Stress Analysis
Material Selection
Within this role you will also be liaising with all of the different departments of the company, offering your expert advise and feedback to assist with this process. In this role you will responsible to report to management regarding project performance.
The Skills / Experience Required
My client are flexible with their demands with regards to applicants experience. There are several industry sectors in which experience would be beneficial these include the Oil and Gas industry, Aerospace industry and Nuclear industry. If you have experience in these areas you will most likely have experience of working with quality standards including ISO standards, which is important for this role.
You must have experience in the following areas:
Design Engineering (preferably Inventor)
New product development / conceptual design experience
Ability to effectively read engineering drawings
Experience of working with installations
Experience with the following would also be beneficial:
Working with dielectric materials (electrical insulators)
Fabrication of sheet metal
A degree or equivalent level of education
Experience of working with pumps / pump manufacturing firm

The successful applicant will be rewarded with a competitive salary from 24k to 32k (possibly flexible) depending on the candidates experience. Their will be scope to progress within this role and within the company.
