Mechanical Engineer/Fitter - Hydraulics/Hardness Testing
I have a client looking for an experienced Skilled Engineer/Fitter to get on board and join their team. The Company are an Expanding, engineering, manufacturing company producing high quality testing equipment.
Essential Skills
HNC or equivalent.
Good practical experience in mechanical engineering industry.
Full, clean, driving licence.
Desired:
HND or equivalent.
Practical experience of electrics and/or hydraulics.
Knowledge of hardness testing.
Supervisory experience.
4. REPORTING
Reports to Head of Laboratory or Operations Manager.
5. DUTIES & RESPONSIBITIES
Main:
Manufacture and test new equipment.
Install, commission and service equipment both at the company's and on customer sites.
Train and be trained by other company's employees in order to maximize flexibility of the company.
Work with the Head of Laboratory to support the compliance of the Company within the terms of its' accreditation.
Undertake any other Quality Activity as requested by the M.D. or Operations Manager.
Maintain the good name of the company with any concerned parties both in the U.K. and abroad.
Subsidiary:
Manage appropriate stocks of parts and assemblies to ensure continuity of supply of products.
Complete all necessary testing and paperwork to ensure high quality, timely, dispatch of products.
Pack and prepare product for dispatch.
Other functions, as required, possibly including organise and supervise work of a small [skilled and semi-skilled] team.

Common sense.
Ability to learn quickly.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Flexible.
Reliable.
Competent to carry out the processes described in 'Qualifications and Experience'.
Team worker.
Experience of machine building preferred.
6. TRAINING
Undertake any relevant training course to extend and/or improve skill levels, performance and awareness of current requirement
