An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client, a global electro-mechanical manufacturing company
Acting as a representative for the company the successful candidate will be expected to travel to customer sites within the UK and internationally with a sales representative to meet customers and get an understanding of their requirements. You will then take the information back to site and using your technical knowledge, design the equipment to specification using 2D and 3D CAD (ProEngineer experience would be ideal). You will need to assess the cost implications for each individual project, liase with suppliers and be responsible for the procurement. You will then need to evaluate and analyse finished products before installing it on the customer site.
The Ideal candidate will match the following criteria:
* Experience in working to specifications / instructions and designing bespoke products
* 2D and 3D CAD experience (ideally on ProEngineer)
* Understanding of current manufacturing techniques
* Target Driven
* Strong communication skills and customer focussed.
* Team Player
* Strong evaluation and analytical skills
This is a new role and excellent salary and benefits are available including a company car or car allowance.
