Medium sized MandE commercial contractor requires a MandE Estimator. The company is based in Ipswich and covers projects around the Southeast. They have close relationships with a number of main contractors, but 40% of work is competitively tendered. Project areas cover commercial, residential, health, industrial and leisure.
Duties:
- Sending/receiving enquiries
- Takingoff drawings/schedules
- Liaison with subcontractors, consultants, clients and project mangers
- Entering quantities into estimating software
- Applying mark ups
- Attending hand over meetings to finalise tenders and site visits
- Visiting sites to survey and ascertain what materials are required to carry out a fully working installation
- Progress and learn new skills in design projects.
