Job Summary
·To be responsible for efficiently carrying out maintenance, repair and replacement work assigned by the Assistant Technical Services Manager and to the standards required, ensuring that engineering principles and safety procedures are adhered to.
·To work closely with the Assistant Technical Services Manager, Shift Engineer and other day engineers in order to carry out all duties assigned in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as to the operation schedule.
·To obtain all necessary parts from the engineering store by presenting a duly authorised work order, seeking any other required assistance within the engineering department to fulfil duties.
Responsibilities·To be responsible for retrieving and completing work orders as per policies and procedures.
·To be responsible for returning all work order forms to the designated return box prior to ending the shift.
·To be responsible for reporting any discrepancies unsolved problems and newly observed engineering problems to the supervisor as soon as possible.
·To be responsible for obtaining all necessary information, documentation and instruction to ensure that effective, efficient work may be performed.
·To be responsible for returning all unused (new and old) parts to the engineering store or to the Shift Engineer.
·To be responsible for the safe storage of both personal and borrowed tools.
·To be responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas where work is performed.
·To be responsible for respecting guest privacy and comfort at all times.
·To be responsible whilst working in guest areas; to be well groomed, wearing a clean uniform and to behave diligently, honestly and politely to guests.
·To be responsible for adhering to all safety practices, procedures, rules and regulation of the hotel and of the engineering recognised best practices.
·Carry out PPM to all mechanical plant including, but not limited to, Pumps, motors, Air handling and extract units, all valves types and pipework
·Shift cover as needed due to sickness and holidays
·To carry out any other reasonable requests as directed by your manager
AREA OF DUTIES:
The following duties are not intended to be inclusive and are specific areas of responsibility and will include the equipment and systems. It is expected that repair and maintenance duties are performed and that relevant technical publications are read and understood

·Fan coils units
·Split air conditioners
·Supply and exhaust fans
·Pumps
·Pressurisation units
·Kitchen production equipment
·Kitchen dishwashing equipment
·Laundry equipment
·Sanitary services.
·Booster pump systems
·Water conditioning and disinfecting system
·Spa pool equipment and miscellaneous equipments (steamer, sauna heater).
